In honour of upcoming Remembrance Day you can remember the service of Australian soldiers by stopping and paying respects at one of these memorials.
This red granite monument and life-sized marble soldier is dedicated to the locals who lost their lives during the South Africa War and WWI. Additional plaques for later conflicts have been added also.
The memorial rotunda, at memorial park, is dedicated to those who lost their lives during WWI.
This monument, at Freedom Park, is dedicated to those who lost their lives during WWI, WWII, Malayan Emergency, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
The memorial stones at Maryborough, located at ANZAC Park, commemorate service people from the Malayan Emergency, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
Tin Can Bay
The stone memorial surrounded by a low brick wall at ANZAC Park is displays an Honour Roll from WWII.
