In honour of upcoming Remembrance Day you can remember the service of Australian soldiers by stopping and paying respects at one of these memorials.

Gladstone

This monument at ANZAC Park is dedicated to those who lost their lives from the South African War, WWI, WWII, the Vietnam War and many more. A statue of a Vietnam Servicemen is at the top of the monument.

Longreach

This stone obelisk at ANZAC Memorial Park is dedicated to those who served during WWI. It is the site for ANZAC Day and Remembrance day celebrations.

Mackay

 This WWII monument is a replica of that built in the Tobruk Cemetery, Libya, during the WWII seige. It is dedicated to the locals who served at Tobruk.

Rockhampton

 This heritage listed obelisk is the tallest of all Queensland monuments. It is dedicated to the locals who lost their lives during war from WWI onwards.
